The New Bridal Destination You NEED on Your Radar

Charlotte Mills founder of The Aisle Edit

Swapping shoes for shopping, Charlotte Mills has designed a bridal destination like no other we’ve seen. Aptly named The Aisle Edit, her latest venture offers a one-stop-shop for everything you need to take you down the aisle – think Selfridges, but bridal!

And when we say this is the ultimate girly day out, we mean it. Dressed in the perfect shade of pastel pink, this candy-coloured palace is designed to make your bridal shopping experience one-of-a-kind. With your bridal party in tow, you can pick out some sparkle in the accessory showroom, strut around as you pick out your perfect pair of Charlotte Mills pumps and even find the dress with the help of Dotty Bridal, all before stopping off for a well-earned glass of fizz in the Champagne Bar.

With the doors to The Aisle Edit now open, we spoke to Charlotte Mills herself to get the low-down on what bridal parties can expect to find behind the stain glass windows of this rose-tinted renovated church in Greater Manchester…

So for brides who haven’t heard of the Aisle Edit…what is it!?

“The Aisle Edit houses a curated collection of incredible, female-run, independent bridal brands to provide a wedding shopping destination unlike anything else in the UK. Located in a beautiful 1860s church, it’s the perfect place to visit for a girly day out.”

What can brides expect turning up to the Aisle Edit?

“Evoking excitement from the off, visitors will enter through the grand pink church doors, where they’ll be greeted at The Aisle Edit’s reception area and given an overview of what each inspiring floor holds.”

“A large and alluring Accessory Showroom spans the ground floor, with independent brand displays of fabulous finishing touches for brides to shop. This includes on-trend bridal hair accessories and jewellery, plus gorgeous nightwear, denim jackets and veils. The middle floor, meanwhile, will play host to a mezzanine Champagne Bar, serving up afternoon tea, coffee, wine and bubbles with a selfie station and Team Hen accessory area. Here, brides can also immerse themselves in the Bridesmaid and Mother-Of-The-Bride boutiques, shopping in private with their leading ladies while sipping fizz and being assisted by a dedicated Aisle Edit stylist.”

“And as if that wasn’t enough, the middle floor also houses the Charlotte Mills Showroom. Sitting in the place of the former church altar, this mesmerising studio features a full range of aisle-worthy CM bridal footwear and hen party dresses.”

“Finally, providing an ethereal setting for brides to find their dream dress, the top floor of The Aisle Edit will be home to award-winning bridal boutique Dotty Bridal. Expanding on its popular Yorkshire locations, Dotty will bring a host of premium designer gowns to this exquisite space for private bridal appointments led by its super-friendly expert stylists.”

And what brands can we find inside?

“Charlotte Mills of course! And we’re delighted to share that we’re partnering with Dotty Bridal, Rewritten Bridesmaids and Harper Laine Occasions for Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom outfits.”

“And in our Accessory Showroom; For the Love of Pearls, Rebecca Andrews, The Bobby Pin, Meek, Horseshoe Flowers, Jadie Oi and Dove Grey.”

What’s the interior vibe?

“For the interiors we want to create a really luxurious bridal experience for our brides. We understand that a lot of brides will be travelling from quite a way to visit and we want them to have the most magical experience. We’ve gone for herringbone flooring throughout, with white walls to make sure the original stain glass windows really pop! The gable end wall is 12 metres high, which is pink and can be seen from every floor.”

And we’ve heard there’s more than just shopping to enjoy here…?

“Yes definitely! We have our incredible champagne bar, which serves afternoon tea! The perfect opportunity to stop pause mid shopping and re-fuel before heading to your next appointments.”

For bridal parties wanting to make a day of it, is there anything else nearby they could book in? Cocktail bars? Restaurants?

“Yes definitely! Saddleworth is such a picturesque area, you could definitely make a weekend out of it. Just 5 minutes away is a lovely village Uppermill, which has lots of great restaurants and bars, Sorella, Muse and The Waggon to name a few.
